The Return of Megaton Man #2 Synopsis: Issue #2 in a series of 3 about the return of Megaton Man. No, I've never heard of him before either. In this issue, what we care about is that Megaton Man retreats to his "Fortitude of Solemness", apparently in a secret location at a Nevada test site, because he needs time to think. He and his kindly old caretaker share memories of Megaton Man's grandfather, "Doc Megaton", and two of his sidekicks. Published by Kitchen Sink Comix. | ||
| Review: These brief (three pages) of 'memories' are a sharp and very non-worshipful spoof of Doc and the crew. Amusing if you're in the right frame of mind. The rest of the comic? Um, well, okay, it was kind of amusing, too. Strange, though. | |||

Furrlough #27
Synopsis: "Bronze Fur", a story in which Doc and all of his friends are portrayed as animal-like characters. See the whole story (which I believe starts in #26) online at: http://lonestar.texas.net/~sharkmaw/bf/bfindex.html |
||
| Review: Moderately amusing, and surprisingly true to the characters. | |||

Flint Armbuster Jr.
Synopsis: Published by Alchemy Studios. Black and white interior art. Flint Armbuster, Jr., faces bad guys Id and Ego, who bust into his 'secret warehouse', the Yucatan Import Co., and steal a neuralizer. |
||
| Review: Creator Scot Eaton calls this an "affectionate caricature" of traditional heroes. It didn't do much for me, except for the following bit of dialogue: "This adventure's almost over, Id." "How do ya know?" "See how Flint's shirt is getting all ripped up..." |
