m.v."Spirality"

m.v."Spirality" entering Littlehampton

The "Spirality" was one of many ships of her type owned by Everard. She and many of the others were employed in carrying road-stone from the West Country. They were known as 'dead men's shoes' as it was the only way you could get to sail on one permanently. I too was there for only a month relieving in the summer of 1961.

Most of the captains took them out new, and spent the rest of their career on them.

After the "Spirality" I went back to the "Averity" for a time.
