A painting of the m.v."Seniority"
passing the "East Goodwin" lightship, in the River Thames
estuary. This was one of a series of paintings commissioned by F. T. Everard and appeared in their adverts on the back covers of the magazine "Sea Breezes" for many years.

| The m.v.
"Seniority" was a 3 hatch dry cargo ship, trading mostly
between the River Thames and Plymouth in Devon, carrying cargos of
bagged cement. I was on this ship when our first son, Duncan Kenneth was
born, in July 1959. My younger brother Derek was Cabin Boy on the same
ship, at the same time. |
