The Crane Barge 'Asian Hercules 2'  lifting the bridge into it's final position. The big upright windows to the left of the bridge is Ward Hadaways the office where our daughter Michelle works. The Tyne Quays have been updated almost beyond recognition from their original dockside appearance.

The bridge is a 'Blinking Eye' and is the first of it's type in the world. Newcastle upon Tyne is known as the 'City of Bridges' and this is another very fine example and a complement to the others.
