This ship has 4 main engines. Two are coupled
together through a gearbox driving a propellor on each side. Each
propellor is of variable pitch in a Kort Nozzle, with a rudder mounted
on each. She is also fitted with a 360° 'White-Gill Jet' bow thruster. |

The funnel marking logo is repeated on the fore
part of the bridge and is a Blue anchor with curved lines coming from
the top of it to represent oil gushing. we called it 'the oily anchor'.
The large yellow thing behind the wheel house
is an ingenious moveable half deck which allowed all the cargo or
anchors there to be moved aft en masse for easier lifting by the rig's
cranes. |
