Fitting a flip-front to a MINI has many advantages... Because of the original car's tight access, 'flipping it allows a lot more room to work on, or remove the engine. It is lighter, and therefore advantageous in reducing the weight of the car, as in lighter means faster. The main point to observe with this as in anything else, if you are in doubt err on the side of safety.

There are as many ways of fitting a flip front as there are people fitting flip-fronts. But this article describes my method.
