| I'm mostly self-taught not picking up the horn until my mid-20's. I'm a fan of Rock and Roll and old Time R&B. Think King Curtis, Red Prysock, Big Jay McNeely, Sam The Man Taylor, Lee Allen, Paul Bascomb, and some of the younger guys who play in that vein like Sax Gordon. I formed a band Excellent Adventure and we got a good reception, but given my other obligations that band is on a temporary hiatus. I Until recently I played with the Hillcrest Gang. Excellent Adventure is in the process of re-forming, as a solo act and quartet. I |

| I have found midi files useful. If you have a program like Cakewalk, you can take the lead track and transpose for your instrument. You can then print that as a lead sheet, then mute that track in the midi file and, viola! instant band. |
