Introductory Quotations

"Anti-Semitism" is the big gun in the Jewish arsenal, and Zionism, the political movement inspired by Judaism, used Anti-Semitism to justify and assist the creation of a Jewish state. The term becomes a farce when applied to Arabs, who are the real Semites and are the very real victims of racism today. It is well known that Muslims and Jews lived in harmony for their entire history until the rise of Zionism.

Yehoshafat Harkabi

He was the longest serving of Israel's Director of Military Intelligence. He wrote a book that was translated and updated for the English-speaking world with the title Israel's Fateful Hour.

He wrote: "What we need in Israel is not a united front behind a wrong policy (continuing Israeli occupation of Arab land seized in 1967) but searching self-criticism and a careful examination of our goals and means, so that we can differentiate between realistic vision and adventurist fantasy. We need clear, rational and, above all, long-term, comprehensive political thinking. Politicians frequently focus their gaze on the pebbles they may stumble on, ignoring the precipice. Some are brilliant in their analysis of the past weeks, but myopic in their perspective on what can happen in the coming months or years.

What is at stake is the survival of Israel and the status of Judaism. Israel will soon face its moment of truth. The crisis that faces the nation will be all-consuming. It will be bitter because many will have to acknowledge that they have been living in a world of fantasy; they will have to shed conceptions and beliefs they have held dear."

Israel, Harkabi insisted, had to negotiate its way out of occupation while there was still a Palestinian leadership that was interested in compromise and could deliver.

"There is no greater sorrow on earth than the loss of one's native land"

- Euripides, 431 B.C.

Israel has an unmatched record of defying UN resolutions, as the enforcer of the world's longest illegal occupation.

When armaments are in the hands of immoral people, the danger is high that a nuclear war could be launched. Indeed, people in power who have no morality and no judgment can be expected to do anything, including killing millions of people.

"The Lord hath accomplished his fury;
he hath poured out his fierce anger,
and hath kindled a fire in Zion,
and it hath devoured the foundations thereof."

To understand the injustice and current deadlock of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, one only needs to look at two maps. One that shows the Israeli wall, which, when completed, will become the de facto border of the so-called "Palestinian state": four walled-in Palestinian cantons (Northern West Bank, Southern West Bank, Jericho and the Gaza Strip) on about 12 percent of the territory of former Mandate Palestine. And a map of UNRWA, United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, that shows the 59 Palestinian refugee camps spread out all over Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, West Bank and Gaza Strip, where over four Million Palestinian refugees live in forced exile, since Israel expelled them in 1948, destroyed their villages, confiscated their land and denies their Right of Return. The hype and the hope stirred up by the current Gaza disengagement plan, with Israel withdrawing merely 8.000 (two percent) of it's total 400.000 Jewish settlers in the occupied territories of West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, seems baseless in view of these maps. They expose the impracticability of a two-state solution and call for different strategies.

It should be remembered that for 1400 years, while European Jews saw pogroms, the Inquisition and the Holocaust, Jews were not persecuted in Muslim countries and, indeed, for long periods in Spain and elsewhere, were partners in a marvelous Muslim-Jewish symbiosis. Tensions began after the first Zionist settlers arrived in the 1880's in Palestine...when [they] purchased land from absentee Ottoman landlords, leading to dispossession of the peasants who had cultivated it.

"Anti-Semitic" is a phrase which means "against Semites" but has come to be used solely as meaning "anti-Jewish". The irony inherent in this ill-used phrase is that the Semitic Arabs are actually amongst the greatest victims in the crime and fraud known as Zionism, in which Russian Jews, who are racially non-Semitic, in the first half of the Twentieth Century, fostered and executed a plan to create an officially recognised Jewish homeland in Palestine. The result of which was the mass displacement and persecution of the indigenous Arab citizens. This is without doubt "anti-semitism" at its worst.

"The reader might wish to have a look at Kevin MacDonald's "The Culture of Critique": An Evolutionary Analysis of Jewish Involvement in Twentieth-Century Intellectual and Political Movements where they will learn that "ethnic Jews have a powerful influence in the American media far larger than any other identifiable group. The extent of Jewish ownership and influence on the popular media in the United States is remarkable given the relatively small proportion of the population that is Jewish."

In other words, Israel is in control of the means of creating the "official culture" of America to suit its own agenda, including making the terms "conspiracy theory" and "anti-Semitic" such horrible epithets that no one would dare to speak anything that might put them at risk of be so branded!"

MUST A Native-American recognize the right of the United States of America to exist?

Interesting question. The USA was established by Europeans who invaded a continent that did not belong to them, eradicated most of the indigenous population (the "Red Indians") in a prolonged campaign of genocide, and exploited the labor of millions of slaves who had been brutally torn from their lives in Africa. Not to mention what is going on today. Must a Native-American - or indeed anybody at all - recognize the right of such a state to exist?

But nobody raises the question. The United States does not give a damn if anybody recognizes its right to exist or not. It does not demand this from the countries with which it maintains relations.

Why? Because this is a ridiculous demand to start with.

OK, the United States is older than the State of Israel, as well as bigger and more powerful. But countries that are not super-powers do not demand this either. India, for example, is not expected to recognize Pakistan's "right to exist", in spite of the fact that Pakistan was established at the same time as Israel, and - like Israel - on an ethnic/religious basis.

SO WHY is Hamas required to "recognize Israel's right to exist"?

So why is this weird demand addressed to the Palestinians? Why must they recognize the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish State?

A quote:

"FOR MANY CENTURIES, primitive Christian Europe had regarded the Jews as the Christ-Killer: an enemy and a threat to be converted and so be saved, or be killed; to be expelled, or to be put to death with sword and fire. In 1543, Martin Luther set out his honest advice as to how Jews should be treated. First, he wrote, their synagogues should be set on fire, and what ever does not burn up should be covered or spread over with dirt so that no one may ever be able to see a cinder or stone of it. Jewish homes, he urged, should likewise be broken down or destroyed. Jews should be put to work, to earn their living by the sweat of their noses, or, if regarded even then as too dangerous, those poisonous bitter worms should be stripped of their belongings which they have extorted usuriously from us and driven out of the country for all time."

Early Christian accusations of the Jews focused on ideas such as Christ Killers, Rejection of Christ and Christianity, and usury.

The Jews were forced to live in ghettos in Christendom since 1179 and ended in 1917. They were segregated in the ghetto quarters behind walls and were forced to wear distinct color (a yellow hat for men and a yellow veil for women) when they were out. The ghetto gates were closed at midnight and opened at dawn.

The Jews have been evicted from England in 1290, from Normandy in 1296, from France in 1306 and again in 1394, and finally in 1492 from Spain and Portugal. In fact, the Ottoman Empire, Italy, and Poland were the only countries that accepted Jews. Holland joined them later after its independence from Spain.

In the land of Islam, Jewish living quarters had a different configuration. Islam did not impose a special restriction upon the Jewish areas of residence. Ghettos, like those in Europe, did not appear in Islamic countries. In the Ottoman empire, ghettos were always built voluntarily and remained so.

The great French Revolution advanced social freedom to Jews and granted them the right of citizenship. Influenced by the supreme aspirations of the Revolution, many Jews looked upon France as the "Promised Land". The Jews started leaving the ghettos and joining modern European life. Many of them freed themselves from the Talmudic educational system and made important contributions to Western culture and civilization, some did not see this as sufficient, and converted to Christianity.

Quotation from Alan Hart's article:The Book That Can’t Be Published In America "ZIONISM The Real Enemy Of The Jews:

"Zionism is a secular, colonialist ideology which, in 1948, and mainly by resorting to terrorism and ethnic cleansing, established a state for some Jews in the Arab heartland. (At the time of Zionism’s birth and first mission statement in 1897, its colonial ambition was supported by only a very small minority of the Jews of the world; and it can be said that without the obscenity of the Nazi holocaust - a European crime for which, effectively, the Arabs of Palestine were punished - Israel would not have come into being). Simply stated, Zionism in action has made a mockery of, and actually has contempt for, the ethical principles and moral values of Judaism. Which is why those most often described as “ultra orthodox” religious Jews say that Zionism is destroying Judaism". End of quote.

Zionism is an apartheid philosophy. It is the Talmudic basis of hate and racism that fuels Zionist aggressions. Its founder, Theodore Herzl, was dismayed by the mass anti-Semitism in France aroused by the Dreyfus affair. He became convinced that the separation of Jews from Gentiles by in-gathering of Jews into a separate Jewish nation was the only solution to the age old "Jewish problem." Herzl spelled out his program in his book Der Judenstaat (The Jewish State).

"Zionism is a total disaster. It is a colonial, expansionist, nationalist philosophy based on racial chauvinism. Those who take its precepts to the letter have been robbing the land of the indigenous Palestinian people in the name of the Jewish people." ... Gilad Atzmon

Leaving the Zionist Ghetto

According to Zionism, it was only in a state of their own that Jews could be guaranteed security and freedom from persecution. In effect Zionism said: "Jews are doomed, ever, to trust the Gentiles. Without a state of our own, we Jews are doomed to extinction." Zionism was therefore about separating Jews and Gentiles and, in essence, it was a philosophy of doom. Before Zionism there was a Jewish philosophy of hope.

The brutal truth was that Zionism looked upon the Jewish refugees of liberated Europe as manpower and justification for whatever it had to do to create a Jewish state in Palestine. Most Jewish refeugees, given the choice, would have opted for America. But the Zionist leadership lied when they said that 90 per cent of the Jewish refugees wanted to go "only to Palestine".

Exploring, Rather Than Exposing, Some Myths About Israel-Palestine
By Robert V. Keeley (Former U.S. Ambassador to Greece)

The British government, in 1903, suggested part of Uganda in Africa as a new homeland for the Jews. The proposal was presented to the first World Zionist Congress and was defeated by the Russian members under the leadership of Chaim Weizmann.

Herzl, in essence, through the Zionist movement, he merely envisaged a homeland "for the Jews", solely as a response to the anti-Semitsm of the nineteenth century.

The ink of Zionism's dishonest mission statement was hardly dry when the Central Conference of American Rabbis adopted a resolution disapproving of any attempt to establish a Jewish state. The resolution said: "Zion was a precious possession of the past... as such it is a holy memory, but it is not our hope of the future. American is our Zion."

Henry Morgenthau Senior, former American Ambassador to Turkey, in 1921 wrote: "Zionism is the most stupendous fallacy in Jewish history. It is wrong in principle and impossible of realisation; it is unsound in its economics, fanatical in its politics and sterile in its spiritual ideas. I speak as a Jew."

Another prominent figure in the Zionist movement was Asher Ginsbergh, also known as Ahad Ha'am (1856-1927), who was indeed the most vocal critic of Theodore Herzl. Ha'am, a writer and philosopher, was borne in Ukraine and was editor of Hashiloah between 1896 and 1903, through which he attacked philosophical positions of Herzl on Zionism. In 1891 Asher made his first visit to Palestine. On the basis of what he observed with his own eyes, he believed there were two main obstacles to further Jewish settlements in Palestine. The first was that there was very little cultivatable land which was not already in use. What was cultivated could not be purchased from the Arabs. The second obstacle was the existence of the Arabs. The Jews abroad, Asher wrote, thought little of the Arabs and supposed them to be incapable of understanding what went on around them. For thinking so the Jews abroad were "in error". In one of his articles Asher (Ahad Ha-am) warned that Jewish settlers should under no circumstances arouse the wrath of the natives.

Mahatma Gandhi, in 1939, proclaimed that Palestine belongs to the Arabs and that it is therefore wrong and inhuman to impose Jews on the Arabs.

In the mid-nineteenth century, the world Jewish population was about 4.5 million, 72 per cent of them living in Eastern Europe. In contrast to Germany, where the Jews worked exclusively in usury and finance, in Eastern Europe they were involved in a variety of occupations.

There are about 14 million Jews in the world today. Nearly half of those -- about six million -- are now in North America, where they make up just over two per cent of the population but wield far more influence than any other group. The great Greek geographer and Historian in the first century BC, commented --quote-- "The Jews have penetrated every country, so that it is difficult to find any place in the world where their tribe has not entered and become dominant." --end of quote-- Dominant because of their accumulated wealth. They would suck the wealth from the host population, and then give or lend some of it to the rulers in return for being allowed to keep their privileges. The Jews bought the tolerance of the rulers, but of course, they couldn't afford to buy the tolerance of the people. Their history is a chronicle of one "persecution" after another, right down to modern times. During the Middle Ages they were kicked en masse out of every country in Europe, repeatedly.

Ashkenazim: is a Hebraic word which means Germany in Hebrew. An Ashkenazim (according to this denomination) is any Jewish person of German origin. Later on, this naming was commonly used for Jews existing in northern, eastern and mid Europe, who are also known as 'Western Jews', and whose origin goes back to the days of the Roman Empire's expansion over midst Europe. During this period some Jews settled in different European countries, mainly in the Slavian region, to the north of the Black Sea. In the Middle Ages those Jewish communities adopted the 'Yedish' language, which is a German language to which Hebraic words had been entered. Thenceforth, those communities were known as Ashkenazim (i.e. Germans).

Those Ashkenazim were recognized 'all through their existence in these European areas- by living within their walled quarters, known as 'ghetto'. They were isolated from the natives of the countries they lived in. This seclusion continued until the enlightenment period in Europe, i.e. up to the second half of the Eighteenth Century.

On the whole, 'Western Jews' and Ashkenazim are two terms, used in Israel, but have one meaning, i.e. to indicate one ethnical groups, especially during the periods that followed the rise of the state (in 1948), were referred to Jews coming from countries whose communities practice the European style of living and thinking.

Sephardim: Sepharad is a Hebraic word that means 'Spain' and Sepharadi means 'a Spanish' and the plural thereof is 'Sepharadim'' This denomination is basically designated to those Jews descending from Jewish communities that had been banished in great numbers from Spain and Portugal by 'Inquisition Courts' that had been established in these two countries.

As a result, a small number of Jews living there migrated to Europe, while the majority headed to North Africa and to the Middle East, where they settled and later on- became part of the countries' social structure and part of the cultural components as is the case of North West Africa's Jews, and the Jews who went to Iraq or those who joined their ancestors in Iran as well.

From the idiomatic point of view which prevails in Israel, a South and East European Jew is normally excluded from being a 'Sephardim'. It is only those Jews coming from Arab and Islamic countries (especially Asian countries) who are classified as 'Sephardim'. The only case in which those Jews are considered 'Sephardim' is when dealing with religious and doctrinal jurisprudence of an individual, coming from 'South Europe', in accordance with Jewish Orthodox teachings, because discrepancies between Ashkenazim and Sephardim -in the religious sense- are not the same as those in the ethnical sense.

As a whole, this group is generally characterized by its low economical, civilizational and cultural level on the one hand and undoubted by its conservative religious feature on the other hand. Because this group suffered neither European oppression nor racial discrimination, nor did it support Zionism in its early rise, it became subject to different forms of racial discrimination from Western Jews.

Mezrahim: Jews of the Arab countries are known by different denominations such as Sephardim (same as Eastern Jews), sons (offsprings) of the Eastern sects, Jews of the East, Asian and African Jews and other namings as well. But 'Mezrahim' (in Hebrew) and Eastern (in Arabic) are the most commonly used expressions on the Israeli street, in the academic milieu and among Leftist Political organizations for differentiating them from 'Sephardim', because 'Mezrah' in Hebrew means 'the East' in Arabic. Hence, Mezrahims are Jews coming to Palestine from Egypt, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Iran, Lebanon and some other Arab countries.
