Agenda: Directions to field trip. Kids need to give me a list of 2-3 things that they want to see (dog breeds, agility, junior showmanship, obedience, etc.) so I can make a schedule.

March 2004

Our monthly meeting is to be a field trip to the Detroit Kennel Club Dog Show at Cobo Hall in Detroit. Date is 03/20/04. Driving directions will be available at our February meeting.

We will meet at 11:30 at the Labrador Bench (where I'll be waiting for you). Specific directions as to where the Lab bench is will be provided about a week before the show. Actual events will depend on my personal show schedule--I expect to have at least two dogs in obedience (Novice) and at least one in Conformation.

Driving Directions

"Oelke Rd." meetings are held at 13218 Oelke rd.
Directions from Milan: Take Plank Rd. South to Oelke. 2nd road on right after Ostrander rd. (Sebres Market & THE stop sign). About 10 minutes from US-23's Plank Rd. Exit.
Directions from Monroe: Take Elm west. It will turn into North Custer at about the airport. Continue. You'll pass Raisinville on the left, then, several miles later, Ida Maybee. Continue on N. Custer. You'll go under a railroad bridge. Just after, N. Custer will turn into Plank Rd. Continue through the 90 degree right turn that the road takes. After this turn, it will be the 3rd road on the right (past Bigelow & Day roads).

New members are invited to just stop by on a meeting day to join the club. Bring your dog on a safe collar & leash, and your vet paperwork (DHLPPC, Rabies, & Heartworm).

With Dog Meetings: 6' Leash. Choke or flat buckle collar. Clicker (if you have one). Small treats.

Business Meetings: Your Member Notebook. Pen & paper.
