Q: Can Iron Mans armor over heat and malfunction or melt?

A: Vs. the Melter and Firebrand the armor has melted, and major circuits have fused together. Also when exposed to excessive heat the new "Promethium 2" armor appears to draw large amounts of energy to keep it and the wearer cooled, a few times Tony almost got cooked.

In issues 215-216 Rhodey was wearing the Classic duds in space and during re-entry into the atmosphere got burned and he had to be hospitalized. There are more instances than I listed, but in general, heat does affect the armor.

Q: Who are Iron Man's allies?

A: Iron Man has many allies. They include: The Avengers, All former Avengers, The X-men, SHIELD (sometimes) Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, and pretty much every other super hero.

Q: Is Tony Stark a scientist?

A: Yes. Tony Stark is also an inventor, business man, tinkerer, and a  playboy.

Q: What ever happened to Peppers baby?

A: When Tony didn't want to kill Aiyesha she tried to give him a reason to. She beat up Pepper which caused a miscarriage.

Q: Where is Tony's and Rhodeys relationship at now?

A: Rhodey hasn't shown up in quite some time, but They are still good friends.

Q: What's the real origin of Iron Man?

A: Please refer to the Biographical page for Iron man's beginnings.

Q: Who made the war machine armor, and in what issue?

A: Tony built the armor first seen in issues 281-282. For more detailed information about the armor, or any of the other models, please refer to the Biographical Page/Armor Info.

Q: Who was Tony's first girlfriend?

A: Tony is a playboy, many women came and went. But the first girl he really got serious with was Marianne Rodgers introduced in issue #36.

Q: Who makes the top banners?

A: I modify the pictures myself and create the banners.

Q: Who is Iron Man's arch enemy?

A: Well he has a lot of enemies so it is hard to say. Some consider his greatest enemy has been the Mandarin though.

Q: Who is Whitney Frost?

A: Whitney is a former flame of Tony Stark. She is also the head of the Maggia crime syndicate

Q: Why did Tony wear the gray armor for only one issue?

A: The golden armor in TOS #40 is actually the gray armor. People were frightened at the sight of Iron Man. Tony painted the armor gold to look less frightening.

Q: What is War Machines real name?

A: James Rhodes

Q: Wasn't Janice Cord Tony's first serious love?

A: Janice is one of the first of Tony's girls we meet. Introduced in I.M. #2 she is actually the daughter of Tony's old business rival Drexell Cord, so the relationship never got to far. She was killed in issue #22 During a fight with Titanium Man.

Q: Did Tony ever come close to marrying?

A: Yes, he was engaged to Joanna Nivena when he went to Vietnam. After the accident, he didn't think he could be a good husband to her.

Q: Doesn't  Iron Man have some kind of a computer system that he uses?  If so what is it called?

A: He has used a number of systems, such as Jocasta, Friday, and Homer.  Homer actually built Tony's armor in later issues of volume one.

Q: To the best of your knowledge has anybody created a full body replica of any of the Iron man suits?

A: Full metal armor? Nothing I know of wearable, with any functional devices.

Q: When was Iron Man Published?

A: Iron Man first appeared in Tales of Suspense #39 in March of 1963, and I.M. #1 in May of 1968.

Q: What would you consider Iron Man's toughest battle in which he won?

A: I would have to say his alcoholism.

Q: Is the current Iron Man of this series the original Tony Stark?  I thought he died during the Crossing.  Is this in fact the original Iron Man's soul and mind or just a look a like with his body?

A: Teen Tony died during the Onslaught Saga. The "Hero's Reborn" series took place in an alternate universe created by Franklin Richards. Tony had the memories of his teen self and his old self, but they soon faded. The Tony of volume 3 seems to be neither of the two, and has no memories of volume 2.

Q: I would like to know where you can get his type of armor or instructions on how to make it!

A: Sorry, I do not currently know of a good place to get instructions on how to build an armor at this time.

Q: Can you tell me how and in what issue Tony Stark and James Rhodes' friendship dissolved?

A: Tony and James are still friends. It seems lately that between all of the creative teams over the years, nobody wanted to write him into the books.  I hope he makes a come back sometime soon.

Though friends, they did slug it out on a lot of occasions. For instances in Vol.1 190-199 when Rhodey thought Tony wanted to take the I.M. role away from him. Issue 300 when Rhodey found out Tony is back in armor after being thought "dead" by most of the world. To name a few instances off the top of my head.

Iron Man comic?

A: The Ghosts first appearance was in #219, and his last one was Volume 3 #45 Also note that he appeared in the mini series Iron Man: The Inevitable.
