| A | Angst: Depressing stories that involve lots of indecision and bad feelings coming from the characters. =( Despite the sometimes dark and depressing feelings you might get from these fics, they are my favourite kind ^__^ |
| AU | Alternate Universe: Stories which take place in a slightly different to a completely different universe. Little or none of the original Gundam Wing plot line is used in the story, and the characters roles, etc are sometimes very different.... |
| Cross-over | Basically Gundam Wing being fused with another plot line from a different series. It may range from small aspects of the plot line, or minor characters, to the complete cross between planets/storylines, etc. Sorry for those of you who like them, but i don't think i will have many on my page |
| H | Humour: Funny fics =) You can get a good laugh from these ^_~ Sometimes just subtle humour, but it adds a bit of fun to the fic. Sometimes they're just downright silly =P =) |
| Lemon | Lemon: To put it bluntly, it's sex. *^^* Plain and simple. Sometimes it goes into quite vivid descriptions, so stay away from these if you are offended by such types of material. |
| Lime | Lime: Similar to lemons, but much less graphic. Usually only involves mild kissing and petting, or even just hinting at sexual occurances. On other pages it may mean something different, but this is what definition i'm using on my page ^__^ Sometimes it may seem hard to tell the difference between lemons and limes, but classifying fics is really difficult.... | OC | Original Character: The author has made up an original character that is one of the main characters or that plays an important role in the story. |
| NCS | Non-consent Situations: Basically this term is for fics that include situations, physical contact, etc. that has not been consented to by one or even both of the people involved. I will probably include both this term and rape for more serious situations (like forced sex). -_-' So if you don't like fics like that, stay away from them!! |
| OOC | Out of Character: When a characters seems to have a changed personnality our outlook on things that may seem rather different than it was on the series. It could also mean over-dose on coffee.....heh.... |
| PWP | Plot? What Plot?: ^__^ Usually lemons which completely leave out a plot, or have no other purpose than to be a lemon....;) |
| R | Rape: Similar to NCS, Non Consent Situations, only these ones involve sex =o |
| Shonen-ai | Literally means "boy love". Usually just boys loving other boys, no sex involved, or just mild kissing, etc. It is a bit difficult to define this in relation to yaoi because they are similar, much like the terms lemon or lime. |
| Songfic | Songfic: Fanfiction that uses a song in the story that usually relates to what's going on in the plot. Sometimes it might be from one characters point of view, both, or neither ^^ It's an interpretation of a song made into a story (most of the time). |
| TWT | Timeline? What Timeline?: These are stories that still follow the basic Gundam Wing plot line, but don't work with the end of the series, or leave out occurances from some episodes. Basically the "mission" stories, etc. that take place at no particular time during the series and are kind of floating around in a time warp......^__^' Don't worry! It's not always a bad thing......=D |
| Vidfic | Vidfic: A fanfic which uses the lyrics to a song to tells a story of what is happening. Usually describing the images which are seen during the song. (Like a music video =) |
| Yaoi | Yaoi: Boy/Boy Relationships. Slightly different from shonen-ai (boy love) because this one usually has sex, or more than just a small attraction. A bit heavier stuff. ^_~ |
| Yuri | Yuri: Girl/Girl Relationships. Basically girls loving other girls. I'm not sure I'll have much of this on my site though...sorry for those of you who like it ^-^ |
