| Oh joy! I am glad you stopped by to pay me a visit.
This is my very first web site. I created this site for socializing and sharing. On the right you can click on my biography links to find out more about me. I am offering free advice via e-mail in the hopes that I can help someone else along the way. I have experience in facing poverty challenges, domestic violence, sexual and cultrural abuse and organizational development. For general sharing please write to me through my guest book link on the bottom right hand side of this page.
I have been an active student of metaphysics, healing and meditation since about 1986. The year 2006 was a big shifting point in my life. I had been seriously meditating for about 3 years. I used the lessons of Parmahansa Yogananda and read his books. The inner pull of the God within me grew stronger and stronger. During this time I was working very hard as an unpaid low- income community organizer. My one goal in my life is to do things God's way all for the glory of God.
In 2006 I realized that ego really had to go. It was causing me too much uneccesary pain. It was very hard on one level. I experienced a lot of frustration and humiliation. On the other hand it was the turning point for me. Spirit created the opening it needed. Now the goal can be met. It is not a goal like the ego would set. It is more like this is what I was programmed to do. My whole life has been training, preparation and karma burning. All so that I can hand this life back over to God.
I have found shelter from the storm at my sister's home. God bless her! I do housework and cooking and grow a garden. The rest of my time is spent meditating with a little exercise thrown in. I have decided to see this place as my own little ashram. I do not work for money. I cannot do it at this time. Believe me, I tried! Everything went wrong! I was fired from one job for working too slow. Even when I got a job I thought I would really like it turned out I didn't and I had to quit. This has never happened to me before! All the while what I really wanted was to meditate. So I have made a commitment to heed the call and put God first.
The idea of reaching out for philanthropic gifts came to me after I realized that I am really living like a monk right now. |I feel that the cultural differences here in America make being a full time meditator an interesting challenge. Perhaps through this web site I can connect with people who either already practice the tradition of feeding monks or those who would like to begin the practice, American style. A gift in the spirit of Karma Yoga gets you no tee shirts, no coffe cups and no tax write offs. The gift is given without expectation of any return. Spiritual philanthropic gifts benefit the giver by burning negative karma. They benefit the reciever because they are a manisfestation of God's eternal love, which is an indicator of mergeance with the Divine, which is the goal of meditation.
