| The Fireman I Chose This in My Life you know The Few, The Brave, the Best I Wanted To Make A Difference Stand Out Among The Rest I Wanted To Save Lives Somehow In This Quest For Safe And Free I Knew It Was A Risky Job But Seems So Right For Me I Knew It Would Be Difficult Sometimes It's Very Sad I Try To Always Stay Strong Keep the Faith In God I've Always Had I Knew I Could Have Courage To Deal With The Task At Hand The Unyielding Inner Strength That Only A Fireman Can Understand There Are No Guarantees In This Life We All Shall Live It's About What We Are As People And What We Are Willing To Give A Fireman Knows This All Too Well Experiences They Have Known Stories They Could Tell Of The Lives They Have Saved And The Friends They Have Known How They've Changed And They've Hurt And How Much As A Human Being They Have Grown A Fireman Ask So Little And They Give So Much Their Courage And Bravery Is Unfounded And I Thank Them So Very Much Next Time You See Them Out There Fighting Another Fire Try To Let Them Know They Matter And That their Work You So Admire We Could Not Be Safe Without Them And They Go Through Such Ordeals It Doesn't Take But A Moment To Care And Understand How A Fireman Feels Written By: Ryan Kinsella-Harmon 2005 |
