MICHEL MAŅANES Concert Pianist

Born in France, Michel Maņanes starts piano lessons at the age of six. A brilliant student, he goes on to study at the Conservatoire National in Paris - with Profesor Jacques-Dupont; winning various awards via the Royaume de la Musique. He returns to his parent's homeland to participate in various contests and receive a grant to finish his studies in Madrid. In 1992, the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides him the opportunity to spend four years at the Hochschule fur Musik in Vienna. Maņanes has performed in France, Austria, Hungary, Italy, England, Portugal and Spain. And has participated in the "Neujarskonzert" in Vienna. Regularly plays with the Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and as soloist. . Currently living in Santander, Spain; Maņanes teaches piano and works as a music critic, while continuing his activities as a concert pianist.
