On 30 March 1997, the station played a part in a re-enactment of the old mail coach run between Norsewood and Ormondville, in association with the Norsewood District & School 125th Jubilee. Liz McGregor’s ‘Brutus Brown’ and his driver, Jo Hullah, are shown here delivering the specially printed envelopes (featuring a picture of the station), which then travelled to NZ Post, Palmerston North, for stamping, on the ‘Bay Express’. 

Also pictured are Rachel Silver and Ann Hill (standing), who participated in the event, which was sponsored by the Scandinavian Club of Manawatu. The station’s loading dock is in the foreground. (Photo: Val Burr, P.N.)
