Wind Pirates of Orlanth - The New Lunar Empire

The Lunar Empire is but a shadow of its former glory.  Before the world was torn to pieces the Lunars were one of the major powers in the world.  But then the Hero Wars came and everything changed.  The Imperial capital of Glamour was lost and even the moon itself was irrevocably changed.  For several centuries the only followers of the old Lunar Way were to be found living on the surface of the Moon.  The Dara Happan tripolis had survived the destruction of Glorantha but were secretly relieved that the Lunars were now gone.  

This all changed when the Lunars descended from the Red Moon.  They first conquered Dragon's Rest and then started expanding first downstream along the Dragon's Breath from Dragon's Rest and then after they rediscovered sail farther away from the Breath.  They found the Tripolis lands and Moonson once more established himself as the True Emperor.  His official titles are now Moonson, King of the Moon, Emperor of the Tripolis and Surezain of the Gathered Lands.  (Interestingly the current occupant of the Lunar throne isn't a man but a woman.  She proved herself to be the reincarnation of Moonson twenty years ago after the previous incarnation of Moonson was killed by an unknown assassin.  Suspicion fell upon Orlanthi rebels but this was never proven.
