The Low Food Diet

The best way I've found to lose weight is the Low Food Diet. It's very simple: you can eat anything you want (within reason - doughnuts are not within reason!), but you have to eat only small portions. You can even have dessert - something like a single small square of dark chocolate. This way you don't feel deprived. And over time, your stomach shrinks and you don't want anything but small portions. Just make sure you are getting the nutrition a body needs - eat lots of fruits and vegetables.

There is one other aspect of the Low Food Diet: no snacks - ever. No eating between meals. Don't even have any snack foods around to tempt you. This part is as equally important as the small portions. You've simply got to cut back on your calorie intake in order to lose weight.

Like all diets, this one works best if you combine it with a disciplined exercise regime. Current medical thinking is that we all need at least 20 minutes of walking a day as a minimum. More than 20 minutes is better. Our bodies evolved for walking, not for sitting or standing or running or lying down, but for walking. So do your body a favor and take it out frequently for a nice long walk.

Combine the walking with some simple weight lifting - there is plenty you can do with two pair of dumbbells: 2 & 5 pound (1 & 2 kilo) or 5 & 10 pound (2 & 4 kilo). Throw in some daily yoga and some 3-times-a-week aerobic exercise and you are set for both losing weight and gaining good heath.

In Summary:

Good Luck with improving your physical manifestation!

Disclaimer: Use at your own risk. I am not a medical professional. I have had no medical training beyond the Boy Scout First Aid Merit Badge I earned in the 1960s. I am not a dietician. You are on your own to figure out what are the nutritious foods you need. This is only what has worked for me. You are entirely on your own in deciding what is a small portion. If the portions are not small enough, you will not lose weight. If the portions are too small, you may experience severe medical complications including, but not limited to, starving to death. As always, it is a good idea to consult with your doctor before undertaking any diet or exercise regime. If you undertake the Low Food Diet, you do so at your own risk. (That oughta keep the lawyers at bay!)
