8/29/2004 Reality TV or Thinking?
Someone asked this question. I have an answer. Me? An opinion? Never!
Yes, Americans are that dumb.
Rather, it's not that Americans are dumb, just that they are lazy and too busy watching "Reality TV." Though the few rebellious teenagers posting in this forum may disagree, I would assert that the other 4/5ths don't care. (Evidenced by the horrid voter turnout numbers in that age bracket.)
Bush wears his religion on his sleeve and he has turned the war on terror into the "Correct Christian" response to Muslim fundamentalism. There are many more Christian believers in this country than free thinkers.
That is why Bush is going to win. That and the vote fixing that is going to happen in November.
