| True beauty. The only way to describe Santa Cruz. Posessing virgin jungle, untappped mineral resources, lakes and rivers filled with game fish, and a rapidly progressing city of one million inhabitants, it is pretty close to paradise. The city, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, is just advanced enough to give you the action you want, and not so advanced as to not be able to slow down and enjoy the good things of life. The violent crime rate is rather low for a city of its size. Cruzeños, the people of Santa Cruz, or Cambas, are known for their hospitality, and their sense of humor. The driving, compared to North America, is quite different, being more disorganized, and requiring more skill, making going places a lot more exciting. Ah, one more thing, (a local soccer team). | |
