Note: the stuff listed here is my personal opinions of these MUSHes. If you disagree, or agree, for that matter, go post it up on The MUSHing Forum, and discuss it with me and other who visit this site. Advertise your own MU* there, too.

Admin: Feel free to send an invitation to your MU* to me, and I'll check you out and give you some kind of listing.

1. Star Wars: Reign of the Empire

Formerly known as SW Erebus, , now reborn with a classic pre-A New Hope theme, this MUSH is in the final Beta stages and promises to be one of the best, if not THE Star Wars MU* these days. Well-coded and with an experienced staff and growing loyal player-base, this is definately a place to check out if you miss the old nitty-gritty RP of the Star Wars genre.

2. Anwethia - not yet reviewed

One thousand years ago, the medieval world of Anwethia was almost destroyed by the misuse of powerful elemental magics. The wisest of these mages came together to save this world and they formed what would be known as the Guardians. Under their guardianship, gateways to other worlds were discovered. From the guardians, the best called Ley Riders were chosen to guard these gateways. The continent of Nosizwe comprises of many lands and peoples, like the Polar Regions, the Plains, Garragg, Liosliath and a frozen city in the Wastes. Keranna, once the dominant power, is weakened which left a void. A void that the others are jostling to fill. The Plains tribes war with Garragg at its northern borders. Liosliath in southeast Nosizwe has freed itself from its conquerors and seeking to rebuild itself. Its port city of Carriag is just re-establishing itself as a trading crossroads. Anwethia. On top of politics, rogue mages, piracy and natural disasters add their destabilizing presence.

Welcome to Anwethia. Where we ROLE Play and not ROLL Play. No sheet, no skills/stats. Creativity, the inspiration to craft stories that will grow as Anwethia grows. A world crafted where everyone's stories matters and will contribute to how it develops. A world with a dedicated global staff. A world offering new players the opportunity to play high-ranking feature level characters.

3. Star Wars 1

This seems to be about the only Star Wars that stands the test of time. Set in the Star Wars universe shortly after Return of the Jedi, complete with Luke Skywalker and Leia, SW1 has some of the best RP I've seen anywhere, and a /lot/ of people, well organized. Its drawbacks are consentual RP, very little stat improvement, and a very complicated space system..

4. Star Wars: Utopia(formerly SW Uprising)

One of few reputable SW sites still opened, it is set two years before A New Hope, and boasts a decent player base, a nice stat system, good players, and a completed space system that looks nice. This is one of the only MUSHes with a good, realistic consent rules.

Setting: The Galaxy. 10 years before the Battle of Yavin.

Palpatine has reigned as Emperor for nine years. Most of the Separatists have been defeated, with only a few pockets of resistance remaining. Most people seem to enjoy the Empire, although there are always those who speak out.

5. Battlestar: Hyperion MUSH

This game, set in the universe of the new, reimagined Battlestar Galactica series, follows the adventures of a second battlestar, the Hyperion. Her mission to escort a deep-space mining fleet saved her from destruction when the Cylons attacked and destroyed the Colonies and the rest of the Colonial Fleet. Now, alone in the universe and with the Cylons hunting them, the Hyperion and her small fleet of ships must find a new place to call home.

6. Elendor MUSH

Elendor is famed as the largest MUSH on the net. It is not odd to see 50+ players online. This MUSH has a theme of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, and it is quite well organized. The admin are helpful, as are the players, and the RP is good quality, with a decent combat system to match.

7. Maddock OLD West MUX

Here we have a MU* with a different theme. It is in need of new players, and is completely consent based, not relying on stats or dice at all..

8. Star Trek: The Original Series CLOSED

TOS, as it is known as, was my first MU* of any type, so I figured it was worth a mention. Its a MUSE, which just means the commands are a little different. Its set during the first Star Trek movies with Kirk and Spock. The people are good RPers, but there isn't much RP that goes on anymore. Its kinda died down. Has a nice economy system, though. The space system is complicated, but kinda fun to play with.
