I just recently returned from being deployed to the middle east... not too much to tell, aside from the fact that I went to seven countries and saw a lot of cool stuff. Nothing crazy, terribly exciting... I didn't end up in a firefight and save somebody's life or nothing like that. Not that I'm complaining. Anyways, this is the page about me. Well, my name is Dan Rustine. US Marine, MUSHer, ex-dentistry student, ex-english teacher, raver, and nice guy. I used to live in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Never heard of it? Its in the middle of South America. Yep, I lived in the jungle and mountains and stuff. I lived there because my parents were missionaries, and being as how I didn't really have the cash to live alone, I followed them around. I don't like to consider myself normal, generally(check out my odd sense of humor here). I used to get pretty good grades, but college required a bit more effort, and I'm not really into using energy unnecessarily. I didn't spend any time studying. I spent too much time online, and some enjoying movies, but also a lot with my friends. My time online is spent mostly on MUSHes. This is a MUSH, a great kind of online game which you can learn about here. Click here to see stuff about the characters I've played. I've got two younger brothers, Steve and Tim. They're ok as far as brothers go, same for my parents. I like lots of types of music(check out this music page ). My favorite movies are numerous, but the Star Wars movie, Fight Club, American History X, the Patriot, Les Miserables, and Fifth Element aree up there. Check out some of my favorite quotes here. And my town, Santa Cruz, man. Well, its not officially my town, cause I wasn't born here, but I love this place so much it might as well be. Always something going on. Its got a big city feel without the fear of getting your head blown off. All the people are friendly, and all the girls good looking(well, almost all). The weather is just how I like it: burning hot. Not far you've got the Andes, and sand dunes or jungle in the other direction. Everybody is lad-back like me, and they live at night, like me. The high school I graduated from is the Santa
Cruz Christian Learning Center. It was fun while it lasted, but I graduated. As Salutatorian, somehow. Not too impressive for a Senior class of 17. I'm pretty proud of my speech, though. Take a look here. |
