Well, to start, there are two main cultures here, the Camba(Fuerza Camba!), and the Colla. The Cambas live in the lowlands, the departments of Santa Cruz, Beni, and Pando. Cambas are easy going, fun loving, and love the night life. The Collas live in the mountains and valleys, and are what Bolivia is known for. These are the Quechuas and Aymaras, and they are known for being reclusive, very hard working, and serious. The entire site has of a Camba slant, because I personally am one. Well, at least at heart.

[Check out this meal!]The majority of the people like foreigners, and are friendly, though you always have your exceptions. The pace of life is slower than in the US, the people being more relaxed. Bolivia is advanced enough in the cities to have most of the luxuries other countries enjoy, such as cable tv, internet, roads, and of course, indoor plumbing. It is a nice place for a vacation, and an even better place to move to.

Bolivia is known for exporting cocaine, and yeah, it does. You can make it at home easily, and cheaply, if you know how. Cocaine is cheap, and every day the cops at the international airport catch people trying to smuggle it out of the country. The druggies here, however, don't have all that much money, and they content themselves with marijuana and sniffing glue.

Bolivian politics are not the best, as in all countries, though they are a lot better than they were in the past, when it was not uncommon to kick out the old president, and kill him. Bolivia is supposed to be the second most corrupt country in the world, and as the police must buy their own guns and bullets, and only receive a salary of about $100 a month, you can often hear of them being bribed cheaply.
