The Shire of the Forgotten Crossroads

Welcome to the Semi-offical web page of the Shire of the Forgotten Crossroads. We are the first shire of Amtgard in Connecticut. We are located in the town of Willimantic. Our regular meetings for battlegames and quests are at noon on Saturdays.

Amtgard is a Live Action Roleplaying Game (think D&D meets sandlot football) with a fantasy setting. Membership is very easy. To become a member of Amtgard just:

• Get a copy of the rules and read it (this is even kinda optional...if you want we can just explain them your first time out).
• Come up with a persona to play (your first time, just saying "I'm a magician/warrior/scout" is enough).
• Get garb, weapons, and spell balls as needed (first few times, we can loan you these).
• Fill out a membership form and waiver and turn them in to the Chancellor. Minors must have their waivers signed by their parents or legal guardians (click here for more information for minors). Minors under the age of 14 may not participate in combat without special permission from the Sheriff

We are under the Crown of Goldenvale, which is mundanely in southern New Hampshire. Their battlegames are every Saturday. Directions can be found at the above link. Right now, we are very small (about four people), but working hard to grow. If you are interested, get the directions below and come see us. We can lend you garb, weapons, spell balls, and whatever else you need to play.
