My interest in raising rabbits began with when my Dad started raising them again. When I would come up to visit him, he would have me help him out in preparation for the upcoming shows. Then the opportunity came along that I was able to move to the same town as he and my sister and her family. Who also raise, show and breed rabbits.

The first show that I attended with them was just as an observer. Boy was I ever confused! Learning the proper way to fill out just the paperwork for the show was enough to confuse this amateur. Then as I continued to go to shows and prepare for them, the fever got to me. These little cuties were getting into my blood and I wanted to be around them more and more. Just putting them on the table and watching how the judge looked over each one and the comments that were made was so exciting to me.

Dad has taken alot of time to help me learn all that I can about Dutch and all the things that there is to learn in regards to the raising, breeding and showing. Of course I just thought you put two together and they came out marked ready to show and were great animals. Boy was I in for a surprise.
As my own stock will never raise to a level of many, just the few that I am raising bring me great delight. My personal favorites in the Dutch are the Steels and Grays; and shaded Netherland Dwarfs.
