LONE PINE SURPRISE CONSOLIDATED MINING COMPANY
Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of Washington
A pleasant name for a mining company. Offices located at Spokane, Washington. Behind the main title is a lone pine tree in a mountainous setting. The reverse is a currency-green color and contains a vignette showing a bear in the wilderness. Shares worth $1 each. This certificate is unissued and has no specific date but sources tell me it is from the early 1900s.

CO-OPERATIVE MINING SYNDICATE
Incorporated December of 1896
Unusual and scarce certificate issued to A.M. Hawkins on May 10th, 1900 for 1 share worth $50. I do not know the exact location of the mine but I am assuming it was in Washington State. Company offices at Seattle, Washington. There is a small vignette in the upper-left corner showing a pickax & shovel. The corporate seal includes the same design. A 5 cent revenue stamp is affixed to the lower-left corner - series of 1898. It is folded but in nice condition. Quite an interesting piece of the Old West! UNCANCELLED

This mining company was located at Tacoma, Washington. These 10 share certificates were used to sell stock in France. Except for the title, everything is written in French. Shares could be bought for $1 (5 Francs) each. A rugged-looking vignette shows a group of miners working in a tunnel. (Stock# 76) Tacoma, WA is printed on the front but the back reads Paris, France. Printed by Washington Lith. Co. Very interesting piece of history! Unissued.

READING MINING & DEVELOPING COMPANY
Incorporated (in 1899) Under the Laws of the State of Washington
I have never seen this certificate before. Issued in March of 1903 for 600 shares worth 5 cents each. (Stock# 158) Oval vignette at top shows a Bull Elk? What I find most interesting is the smaller vignette at the bottom showing a beehive with flowers all around. Corporate seal is punched into the lower-left corner - if you look closely you will see an Eagle in the center of the seal. Offices at Spokane, Washington.

THE HILL TOP GOLD MINING COMPANY
I would assume this gold mine was located on a hill! Another great name for a mining company. Issued on November 5th, 1896 for 1,000 shares worth $1 each. The corporate seal is a shiny-gold color. An attractive vignette shows the portrait of a young woman with long, flowing hair. Signed by the company secretary and vice president (notice the very distinctive signature). Offices at Spokane, WA. NEVADA TREASURE MINING COMPANY
Incorporated (on August 31st, 1909) Under the Laws of the State of Washington
With a name like this, the Nevada Treasure must have attracted a lot of investors. I am guessing this was a gold mining operation. Offices at Spokane, Washington. Printed by the Hamilton Bank Note Engraving & Printing Co. New York. Very Nice!!!   UNCANCELLED
