Dwarves are shorter than men but taller than hobbits. They generally grow beards and have a lust for gold. They usually live inside of mountains, mining for ore and then shaping it into beautiful things. Goldur Smith is 4 ft. tall and has a light brown beard and twinkling blue eyes. He desires gold, but does not hoard it. And he does not live in a mountain (but he would if any suitable mountain were found in the Western Lands).
Goldur is the best gold smith the world has ever known, or so he would like it to be. He is not rich, however, and has come to the western lands in search of more gold to work with. Goldur does not only make golden goblets and things of that type, he also makes weapons. He has a strong desire to find an alloy of gold that is more beautiful than gold, but stronger than mithril. Already, he has found a compound of hard, but beautiful gold, yet it has the strength of only iron, and it is still as heavy as gold.
Goldur has other talents as well. He can mine, as any dwarf can. The same goes for fighting with the axe. He has a slight knowledge of quarrying, as well. He is very willing to learn anything he can, but his stubborness might prevent anyone from teaching him much. Oh, and one other thing: He can blow smoke rings like a pro.
