Temptresses on Television
With the selection of gorgeous, butt-kicking chicks on TV at the moment, who wouldn't feel obligated to dedicate at least a few hours of their time in front of the 'box' while these grrls do their stuff - or should I say, strut their stuff!!!
My favourite shows would have to be: - Buffy: The Vampire Slayer
and of course, Xena: Warrior Princess. Charmed also rates a mention, and bonus points for multiple eye candy!
The Practice also holds my attention!
I will be honest, it's not just the beauty on-screen that attracts me to these shows but the action and also lovable characters. For the hour that I sit in front of the tv I am allowed to enter a different world for a short time and get caught up in someone else's life.
From movies to books, to television shows, I am always looking for the escapist element. These shows give me that, and more.
As homosexuality is more acceptable and almost marketable, shows are allowing their characters to explore less 'conventional' relationships. The most recent being Buffy, with Willow and Tara's relationship now being openly sexual as well as emotional.
