The Lord Of The Rings are the greatest films of our time, whilst there are many differences between the books and the films, they are still amazing. The effects and scenery are breathtaking, the story is just as compelling as the books, I believe that JRR Tolkein would be proud of them.
The Special Extended versions of The Fellowship Of The Ring, and The Two Towers are well worth the cost, I would recommend buying them. Many of the added scenes explain a few theings which seem a little odd. Find out why, in The Fellowship, after their stay in Lothlorien Legolas has a different bow, and why in The Two Towers the horse comes for Aragorn after he nearly drowns in the river.
There is no date yet for the release of The Return Of The King.
