From Carolina to California, Jo Dee has wowed audiences with her enthusiastic energy and raw vocals allowing her the lofty spot of the fifth top county artist on Billboard’s 1999 Year in Country Music list. The feisty redhead's  never-say-die work ethic follows in the formidable shoes of the county acts she most admired, the Judds and Reba McEntire. However, this year she’s following another redhead, Dottie West, with her powerful remake of “Lesson in Leavin’.” Jo Dee is a survivor and has proven she’s not leavin’ the country charts — she’s here to stay.
