| Seto Kaiba... well, this is going to be a very long Bio. If you wanted to hear me bad-mouth him, you have come to the wrong place. Let's see... First off, I would not consider Kaiba a "bad guy". He was in the beginning, but Yami "fixed" him and now he's getting more into the heart of the cards and all that stuff. He is tall and handsome and, let's face it,power-hungry. His goal: Get all the God Cards and become Duel King. Problem: There are at least two others stretching for the same goal. But he's on a good start and all, having obtained the ugliest and lowest attack/defense God Card from Ishizu. He promised whole-heartedly that he would not be giving it back to her, and he sticks to promises ^.^ So, Ishizu, do you have a crush on him or something...? Hmmm... But anyway, back to Kaiba. He's got a big, big company and lots of money and good cards and what not... but he's got the CUTEST LITTLE BROTHER IN THE WHOLE WORLD and hopefully he knows that too. He'd do anything for Mokuba, and loves him... even enough to save him at least twice every season. Mokuba really does get kidnapped that much. I'm not saying Mokuba's a wimp, but he is kind of an easy target and a nice bait and such to get Kaiba to do what you want. I'm thinking that if you really want Kaiba's money, just kidnap Mokuba and hold a gun to his head and make Kaiba hand it over. But then Kaiba would do some cool little trick and save Mokuba and then you would be... ah... in trouble. Kaiba goes more for the "get revenge first, then worry about whatever happened to my little brother" tactic of rescue... For people who know the Kaiba family history and DO NOT want to hear it AGAIN, or do not want to read it because of SPOILERS, skip down to the next paragraph. To begin with the Kaiba family history... Seto and Mokuba's parents both died. I believe their mom died giving birth to Mokuba and their dad died later in a car crash, but I'm not positive. So they get dropped off at an orphanage, and at about this point we discover that Seto has managed to figure out a pet name for Mokuba that ends with an 'ie' (Mokie). Everyone wants to adopt Seto because he's so smart and talented, but he wouldn't leave without Mokuba, who... I actually don't know why Mokuba was deffective in the eyes of the adopters; I'd want him because he's cute, though. Anyway, Seto has promised Mokuba that he'd always take care of him, and so he's sticking with him. Seto's really really good at chess, and can beat Mokuba really easily... "Wow, big brother, you only beat me in five moves that time!" So Gozaburo Kaiba shows up at the orphanage, and Seto challenges him to a game of chess. If he wins, Gozaburo has to adopt him and Mokuba. And he wins. So this is good news for Gozaburo in a way, because he's looking for someone to be a challenge for Noah... I'll get into that later. Mokuba and Seto show up at the Kaiba Mansion (Mokuba's clinging to some part of Seto the whole time), and Seto is put to work.... this 'work' is what turns him bad after a while. So now instead of caring, talented Seto, he's evil, talented Seto. He takes over Kaiba Corp by using the Big 5 and, of course, poor Mokuba, which he actually abuses that one time. It's confusing to see him do that to Mokuba because, it was only that once, and he's never mean to Mokuba... But anyway. He gets Kaiba Corp, and does something to Gozaburo... not sure what, though. So Kaiba was a cruel, cruel person.. but then Yami sent his evil side to the Shadow Realm and it came back in this one episode as this weird guy with pink hair... Hmmm. So, continuing on, Kaiba can be a little arrogant sometimes, and think a little too much about himself, but not often...! And besides, his good qualities make up for all that callousness (good qualities: smart, handsome, clever, strong, handsome, and surprisingly gentle to Mokuba). |
