| The well-kown inventor of Duel Monsters. He was the big villian in the first season, where he held the Duelist Kingdom tournament, and kidnapped Grandpa, Mokuba, and Kaiba's souls to lure Yugi into dueling with him and losing. His main goal was to revive his dead wife Cecilia by means of the Millennium Items. He failed to do so, and his Millennium Eye was stolen from him by Yami Bakura. He was last seen being carried from his tower muttering "Cecilia, I've failed you," but not before he could resurect the Egyptian God Monsters into Duel Monster card form. |

| Reoccuring duelists with themed decks. All of the above have been beaten by Joey, and only two or three have dueled with Yugi. Rex and Weevil are sort of friends, and Roba and his three or four identical little brothers look like they escaped the circus. Mako has been wanting to buy a boat to look for his dad, who was lost at sea. Bandit Keith is a machine duelist who cheats and was brainwashed by Marik after being thrown into the sea at Duelist Kingdom. |

| Odion was Marik's childhood friend and adopted brother. He was also the one who looked after Marik, and helped contain the evil inside him which came about when he recieved the Tomb Keeper's Initiation. when he was knocked out by the Winged Dragon of Ra, Marik's evil side escaped completely, and began looking for Odion to send him to the Shadow Realm. |

| Arcana is an insane Magician themed duelist working for Marik. He dueled Yugi and hoped to win, for Marik would then reward him with his lost love, Katherine. Arcana had an accident in the circus and left Katherine because he didn't want her to see his face. Arcana kept talking to a woman figure behind some curtains, thinking it was Katherine, but it turned out to be a manequin. |

| People that worked for Pegasus. Panik was an eliminator in Duelist Kingdom, and got sent to the Shadow Realm by Yami after he was beaten in a duel. |

| Bonz is a zombie duelist who was being coached by Bandit Keith until he took off with their star chips. His friends are Sid and Zygore. All three were sent to the Shadow Realm by Yami Bakura after Bonz lost a duel to him. |
