Mack and Julie's web page
Welcome to Mack and Julie's web page. Mack is a Border Terrier, born on 8th July 2001. Mack came to live with me and my husband Dougie in Hove, England, on 15th September 2001. He was bred by Mrs Veronica Baring, and his KC name is MacTavish of Mull.
Here is Mack's three-generation pedigree

Mack was born at Deane House, near Basingstoke, which has connections with Jane Austen. (There is a drawing and description of Deane House on this web page)

Mack has smouldering good looks and has many fans, both doggie and human. He belongs to the Yahoo Border Terrier discussion list where he and I have many BT friends all over the world.
Mack's favourite pastimes are playing fetch and tug, running on the beach, beating up Dad and barking at cats and seagulls.

On Sunday 24th August 2003 Mack had his biggest success yet, getting Best of Breed at the Horley and District dog show, held at the South of England showground at Ardingly. West Sussex. What a thrill!
Mack is a member of the Haywards Heath Agility Club. We are not quite competition standard but we have a lot of fun when we go to classes. Plus he gets to come to the pub.

Our most recent adventure in July 2005 was a 2 week trip in our VW camper to the north of England taking in Newcastle, Northumbria, Carlise and the Lake District. New experiences for Mack included a ride in a pleasure boat, climbing Cat Bells, a ride on a steam train at Ravenglass and a visit to an owl sanctuary.

This is the best description of the Border Terrier breed and it's traits I have read.

Here are some of my favourite doggie links - in no particular order.
