The night quiet, blue and cold, the stars twinkle; meteors arch through the royal blue and sprinkle the earth in diamonds; the breeze has chosen this moment to hang suspended around my shoulders, to beckon me from fantasy like a lover's cloak lovingly draped and a whispered kiss on cheeks; the night and you, one leaves me cold, alone, lonely; the other forever lost to view has warmed my soul, flamed eternal fire; a love that time cannot put out, a candle beckons you from my window. |

MOUNTAIN WOLF by Sarah LuAnn Jensen |
Twilight shrouds the silent-hushed countryside. A black silhouette with cloak out seeking "eyes of the night". All of a sudden a mysterious howling not silent.
The iridescent color of a golden moon veils upon the jagged rocks. The moon now almost vanishing before the bright luster of dawn.
The Indian maiden in step of the new day found what she was seeking. The wolves last night have mysterious ways. Ever present, one guardian wolf seeing all with "eyes that pierce the night".
Proud of her heritage; pulling her cloak closer around her shoulders, she will return again Her cloak reveals a moonlit world of jagged rocks, crashing waterfalls, and a mournful howling sound of a lonely mountain wolf.
She found what she was seeking... Tomorrow she will return. |

Chandeliers of ice hanging cold in the winter sun glisten like polished glass... priceless crystal reflecting hues of yellow pinks and blues weeping wet tears in the sun washing them to nothingness.... |
