| Biography. Born and raised in Auckland, Marian started playing the classical violin when she was six years old and has played in many orchestras and chamber groups untill 1992. A qualified Primary School Teacher, Marian is the music specialist at Marina Veiw School in Auckland, teaching New Entrants up to Form Two level. In 1992 she found herself playing on a local Country Music Club stage. Her first experience of real "Country Fiddle" playing. She was encouraged by friends to focus more on band work and so decided to "Go Country" She then went on to win the Auckland Country Music awards and from there, the New Zealand Country Music Entertainer of the Year in 1993....................... |
