Maggie - Calico Moggie

THE STORY

[recalled by Mommy] Maggie was a stray near the place where I work. I saw her meowing to everyone asking for food last Christmas Eve (2002). My heart was broken. I rushed to get her some tinned food and when I came back, I saw a lady feeding her. So she was waiting for the kind-hearted lady.

I was surprised to know Maggie has been living there for more than a year. Both her mother and siblings went missing. I started thinking of her and I visited her every day, with a tinned food of course :) She was very tame. She came running and gave me a meow when she saw me. I gave her many strokes. Those are precious moments in my life.

Maggie's tummy turned large in Jan 2003. So She wasn't the only stray! I visited her more frequently and ensured there was enough food for them. If Maggie didn't show up, I would be very worried. And I kept thinking of them when the weather was bad. On 20 Feb 2003, Maggie was missing again. But on the next day, she showed up with a flat tummy! So I assumed she gave birth that day. I worried about the kittens too but was so glad that Maggie was healthy.

The kittens didn't come out until early Apr. There were 3 of them, black and white. They turned out to be all boys! It was time to give them loving homes. So on 11 Apr, Anita and I caught them! Now (June 2003) Maggie was spayed. She and the kittens named Puzzle, Lego and Lotto live with Alza.

For those who care about Maggie and the kittens, we (me & the cats) know we would never thank you enough. But we still want to say with our hearts a big "Thank You"!
