| This is a history I made up for my Warlord Clan. It details all of its major conflicts, as well as a few other little things I just mad eup to give my war host more personality. Anway, it may seem a little excessive, but Im rahter proud of it. So here it is, my clan's history: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| (Imperial Year) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2334- Skaven naval enterprises in the Sea of Claws are threatened from the north by humans called the Norse. Several Pirate fleets are destroyed, and many essential loads of grain stolen from Imperial cargo fleets are lost. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2336- A group taken from Clan Mors, led by the capable and threatening Warlord, Kroach Feverclaw, is led into the northern land of Norsca to begin sabotage missions against the Norse fleets. Kroach's army is primarily clan rats with a large quantity of support from the saboteurs of clan Eshin. The Council also grants them a limited number of transport ships. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2342- The detachment establishes a stronghold beneath the mountains of Norsca, and begins to raid the Norse Villages that border the Sea of Claws. Several Villages are sized outright with little dispute, others quickly fall against the ruthless tactics of Lord Kroach. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2350- Lord Kroach establishes several seaports for Skaven pirate fleets in the conquered human villages, and begins to hoard away the seeds of the clan's immense wealth. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2353- Lord Kroach is fatally wounded in a battle against a massive horde of Norse Bezerkers. Duels soon ensue amongst his lieutenants as they vie for succession. After several months the New Master of the Clan. Skab the Black defeats Chieftain Thizirklik in single combat and assumes the role of the clan's warlord. Soon after taking command, Lord Skab creates facilities for the larger warlord clans to train and sell their secret weapons to his clan, as well as the passing pirate fleets as they raid Marienburg and other settlements in the north of the Empire and Brettonia. Also, with Kroach Feverclaw dead, the strongest link to Clan Mors is severed, and over time the Lords of the warren are able to accumulate enough wealth to by thier independence from High Lord Veskitt of Clan Mors. From that point on Clan Felcrik would develope comepletely tangent to the greater Skaven Clans, and Skab the Black would be its supreme Warlorrd in all afrairs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2356- A Grey Seer by the name of Kritzkin is assigned to take up residence with Now completely independent Clan Felcrik. Within his personal agenda is the acquisition of many powerful artifacts to increase his own magical potency. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2360- On Kritzkin's advice, Lord Skab leads an expedition into the outer islands of Uthalan, the land of the Elves. After several humiliating battles, Skab's forces are driven back underground. However, enough was gained by sacking, and enslaving several small villages for short a short period of time, and pillaging the surrounding countryside to make the trip worthwhile. Before leaving Lord Skab swore terrible revenge upon the Elves, promising to return and lay waste to the entire island and parade the head of the Phoenix King on his spear through the streets of Skavenblight. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| During the campaign in Uthalan, Skab acquired his ferocious fetish for taking the heads of his defeated and most hated foes as trophies and displaying them in very visual places through his army. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Kritzkin too has adopted the practice taking the head of a fallen Elf mage as an ornament for his staff. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2365- Kritzkin awakes from a dream foretelling great magical powers that will be gained in an attack on a Lair of Chaos. Lord Skab begins a small-scale campaign against a Chaos horde to the east of his underground lair. Lord Kritzkin summons a mighty Vermin Lord to assist in the carnage. Numerous magical weapons are sized from the defeated bands of Beastmen, Dragon Ogres, and Chaos Warriors, as well as plenty of warpstone. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2367-A massive warpstone meteor crashes into the Plain of Zhar. The Chaos Dwarves are quick to seize it. The council Sends Clan Rictus to Invade Zhar Naggarund and retrieve the meteor. The Mighty Clan is successful in its invasion, but a Chaos Dwarf counter attack on their invasion force recaptures the Meteor, and turns its sights to Crookback Mountain. Clan Felcrik is dispatched to halt the Chaos Dwarf advance. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2368-2372- The great war against Alextrogoth the Enslaver. Lord Skab faces one of the largest Chaos Dwarf armies ever in existence. They seek terrible revenge on the Skaven race for invading their homeland, and are prepared to lay waste to the entire stronghold of Crookback Mountain. However, by attacking in their unguarded northern Flank and using gutter-runners and mercenary harpies to destroy artillery, the massive tide of mutant dwarves folds with miraculous ease. The cowardly Alextrogoth, the Chaos Dwarf general, flees back to Zhar Naggarund with little more twenty-five of his 400 Chaos Dwarf warriors alive, and not one of his slaves, cannons, or sacred monsters. He is subsequently sacrificed to the Chaos Dwarf god Hashut. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| During the war, Clan Felcrik was able to capture hundreds of Orc and Goblin slaves, and a small stock of living chaos dwarves. When the Council of Thirteen hears of lord Skab's success they reward him with untold fortunes in warpstone, and a personal Warlock Master for his clan. Skaldak the Mad takes up residence in a freshly carved science Cavern in Clan Felcrik's stronghold in Norsca. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2373- Skaldak the Mad begins his expirements on reanimantion. Using warpstone devices to feed life into patchwork creatures made from bits and pices of dead slaves. A few have worked, though not exceptional at any particular task, and are put back to work as slaves. Skaldak continues to try and create the ultimate flesh golem that will give clan Felcrik unparalleled success in battle. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2376- After skirmishes with Chaos, the Empire, Brettonia, and the Chaos Dwarves, Lord Skab decides to give his clan a period of rest, to gather their numbers and prepare for a time of great plunder and conquest. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2377-2390- During this time of rest, living is unbelievably good for all Skaven in Clan Felcrik. Food is plentiful due to many successful pirating missions from the sea faring Clan Kraken, from whom Skab exacts heavy fees from in return for the services of his harbors. Also Skaldak's greatest invention to date a mutant fungus that grows very fast, and full of nutrition helped to drive up the food supply. The fungus grows on the walls of special subterranean farm chambers. Though slightly predatory, only a few hundred goblin slaves have been lost in harvesting it. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2380-A large reserve of Stormvermin is purchased from Clan Mors, as well as Rat ogres, many new Jezzails, warpfire throwers, a doomwheel, a screaming bell, and resident Plague Priest, Gurglich the Rotten. Gurglich constructs a massive subterranean temple to the Horned One where he begins to recruit monks from amongst the swelling ranks of Skab's Clan Rat legion. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2382-Slave expeditions into the surrounding mountain ranges to create new warpstone mines, and thick defensive walls are finally erected around the exterior of all four of the Clan's port villages with at least 10 Jezzails stationed in them. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2383- Skadivus Motzrat emerges from the ranks of the clan populace of Clan Felcrik as a master musician. Lord Skab, having an odd appreciation for music, commissions him as his personal entertainer. Motzrat's colossal steam organ occupies an entire underground chamber, and as he plays he fills most of the surrounding caverns with echoes of his eerie music. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Lord Skab also commissions clan Skryre to update his age-old fleet to better accommodate his massive clan horde. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2387- Clan Skryre completes 7 new Jezzail warp raiders, a Doombringer dreadnought, and 10 new transport ships. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2388- Skab returns to the small island on the exterior of Uthalan from which he was expelled many years ago. In a swift battle, his new invincible army slaughters all resistance and then rends to all remaining life on the island. It is said that not even one blade of grass escaped the devastation tolled out by Skab on the island. Only a charred black plain remained, devoid of any features, save a massive monolith that Seer Kritzkin demanded be preserved and returned to the stronghold for further investigation and experimentation. The Stone was removed and a shrine to the horned one was built out of bones and skulls in its place. Weather the Shrine stands to this day or not is not known. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2390- The Furry of Clan Felcrik returns in a campaign against the Slaan demons of Lustria. In Two battles he slaughtered many of their slothful soldiers, but failed to slay one of the fearsome frog beasts. Skab's corps of engineers is quickly excavating a stronghold beneath a mile wide grove of briars and massive tropical trees. Several magical treasures were plucked from the fallen reptile soldiers of the Slaan demons, and are currently being analyzed and enhanced by the Warlock engineer team assigned to Lustria. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| A few of the reptile men called "skinks" were taken as slaves. They are currently being forced into the service of Skab's Clan. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2391- Another detachment of Clan Felcrik attacks northern Brettonia. Driving back an army led by Louen Leconouer, the King of Brettonia, himself! After this victory they were able to burrow beneath the surface and establish a Lair beneath L'Anguille. Also, while in Brettonia, Skab leaves a subordinate general, Skavon Bolivar; in charge of the Lustria operation. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Aa strange tribe of primitive Skaven called the Kwi-wi, the ancestors of clan pestilens slaves left behind during the plauge monk exhodus thousands of years earlier, make contact with the clan. They are considerably poor fighters, but they are numerous, and are willing to use thier slings to aid their rat kin against the Slaan that have opressed them for thousands of years. To sweeten the deal they knew many of the inside secrets of the Slaan temples and treasure hordes. Having never seen the likes of the technological marvels that Clan Felcrick posesses or a Skaven with black or gray fur, they assume that these new skaven are an otherworldly gift from the horned one himself, and pledge eternal alegence to the clan. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2393- Kritzkin observes a meteor from his new observatory in Lustria. He leads a raiding party with Skavon Bolivar to retreave it fom the southern plains. They dispatch quite a few Slaan and High Elf armies on the way, but arrive at the meteor's crash site to find the High Elves from the citadel of Dusk already entrenched and fortified on the location. Skavon musters up all the Slaves, and giant rats that he can, to try and absorb the elven arrows. However, the Stalwart defenses of Prince Arenlith and his Legion of the Fish, the Elven general hold firm. Skavon is forced to retreat before the battle becomes too costly. After his first battlefield defeat, Skavon swears to return and crush Arnelith. However, he has doubts as he thinks about the long march through the jungle back to the Stronghold. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
