Beaded Red Ornament

Materials: Red #10 thread, Size 7 hook, 8 white seed beads.

Finished size: approx. 3 inches

String white 8 seed beads. Chain 6, join to form a ring.

Rnd 1: Chain 3, dc in ring, ch 2, *(YO, draw up a loop in ring,

YO, draw thru 2 loops on hook) twice, YO, draw thru all

loops on hook, [2 dc cluster made], ch 2, repeat from *

around, join with slip st in top of beginning ch-3.

(11 clusters made)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, * sc in the next ch-2 loop, ch 9, sc in same space,

(ch 5, sc in next ch-2 sp), repeat from * around, ending

with ch 3, dc in the first sc. (6 ch-8 loops made)

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same loop, * 7 dc, ch 3, 7 dc in next ch-9 loop,

sc in next ch-5 loop, repeat from * around, join with sl

st in 1^st sc. (6)

Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in the joining st, *dc in the next 7 dc, ch 1, make

a beaded dc in next ch-3, ch 1, [b dc: (YO, insert hook in

ch-3 loop, pull up loop, push a bead close to hook and

complete as dc], dc in the next 7 dc, sc in next sc, repeat

from * around, join with sl st to 1^st sc. Finish off.

Weave in ends.
