Lassie

Lassie came to me as a throwaway pet. She is very outgoing and boisterous, and weighs  85lbs. (she is what I refer to as an oversized female)  The owners didn't want her anymore after having her for five years. During that time, she developed a fatty tumor on her side. I think the reason that they gave her up was because they did not want to spend the money to have the tumor removed. Thus, she ended up in the paper free to good home. Well, now she has a forever home with me. I wouldn't give her up for the world. She has this silly little quirk, where as she gets all upset if you sneeze!  She has to hurry over to you, just to make sure you are OK, barking at you the whole time. She's silly, but I love her.  Isn't she beautiful?
Lady

I aquired Lady thru New Jersey Collie Rescue. Lady is a very quiet and shy collie.  She is only just beginning to come out of her shell.  She was abandoned by her owners. They just moved away and left her behind in the yard. They never came back for her, and for 4 months she was left to survive on her own in the streets of New Jersey. I spotted her picture on Petfinder.org and immediately fell in love with her. (What's not to love)? She is my "little lady".  I learned that she had been mistreated pretty badly in her earlier years, and is missing the teeth to prove it.  I know her first five or six years must have been horrendous for her, but she's a happy girl now.  She is just learning how to bark and play.  I just love her.
