A bit about us!
I was raised with horses as my dad was a Guide and Outfitter for years, working
out of Hinton and Jasper Alberta. I have ridden horses all my life and raised
a few saddle horses over the years, as my husband was a cowboy and worked
on a Provincial Grazing Reserve, so we needed good saddle horses. I also rode
for the same outfit for a few years.
I got into miniatures in 1995 since developing arthritis and handling the bigger
horses was getting harder, with more chances of getting hurt. I first thought
that 5 mares and one stallion would be a nice way to keep horses in my life.
My herd has grown to around 20 head over the years, as the saying goes,
"you can't have just one, they're addictive!"
They are the "keepers of my sanity" and provide therapy for my arthritis and
are my friends!
I get the most joy at foaling time, its so exciting and I always look forward to
playing with the new babies!
I also custom make Miniature Tack and do some Leather Repairs! |
