this was never officially released for a reason...2
and that's because the dubbing is so flagrant that one has to have single digit IQ in order not to notice it.
Tony Martin refrains from hitting those wonderful high notes he reached in the studio and when you expect him
to wail 'headless cross', he 'gives' the mic to the audience and we hear the studio overdub that's layered over the live sound to make us believe it's the audience (a few hundred present at most) singing in perfect unison the words 'headless cross'. just like you hear'em on the audio CD, mind you...
i bought this rarity just to hear the tony martin songs because i think his work on Headless Cross (and Tyr+Cross purposes) is amazing and i wanted to enjoy that in a live setting. well, what a disappointment, as the vocalist
just doesnt want to sing high notes, the audience is too small, disconnected, and bobbing against each other like penguins and we're only left with the great instrumental work of the rest of the band. but that's not enough. this dvd is not only headless, it's soulless as well.
it's only worth is for archiving/documenting purposes.
