How To Make Pit Signalers
If you using the Simple PhotoCell Timing System and are using the external lights option, then its a simple matter to wire up two pit signalers. The SPTS programs automatically send signals to these LED's and, depending of the program, will tell you who set the fastest lap time, or if your driver is on their last lap, or who is on pole etc. All you do is wire up the LED's, the programs do the rest.
Note the LED's Atop the Signal Boards
and the Wires Running Through the Table.
Pit Board Signalers use LPT pins 8 and 9 as the data pins and pin 25 for the ground. Refer to the wiring diagrams in the SPTS Installation Instructions and don't forget a resistor if you are using LED's.
Naturally, if you want to get really fancy, you could wire up a 12 volt motor and add a flagman or other such signaler. Use your imagination!!
