Virtual Slotting Via the Internet!!!
They've Been Racing Since Feb2000!!!!
Virtual slotting over the Internet has proven to be a smashing success!!
The concept originated with our leading edge SPTS and FullGrid software and has grown from there to include other top computer timing systems.
Race at home on your own track and submit your LOGFILE to the Competition Coordinator.
You can race "Any car, Any scale, Any track, Anywhere!"
After the results are compiled, you can download the full race and watch your progress, with free race viewer software, as you duke it out against some of the best slotters from around the world!!
There's always someone to race against!!!
What is ORS?
The On Line Race Series is a new competition for home track slotters that allows you to race at home on your own track and yet still compete against other slotters from around the world. It is virtual slotting!
What do I need in order to compete?
You need to have computer timing installed on your home track. The software must also generate a LOGFILE of your lap times so that you can save the file and submit it to the Competition Coordinator.
The S.P.T.S. timing system does just that.
The DINO program records each lap time on a file called LOGFILE.TXT.
Other software developers are encouraged to add LOGFILEs and join the fun.
What scale cars are eligible for competition?
All scales can compete (HO, 1/64th, 1/32nd, 1/24th) in the same race.
All times are factored to a standard base time so that individual track times (regardless of length, track design or scale) are comparable.
Fast and consistent driving will be rewarded with victory.
Spin and you'll slide down the order and have to claw your way back.
Who is going to run all this?
Chris Moellering (Indiana, USA) has volunteered to be the Competition Cordinator.
You can contact him through the ORS web site or below.
All LOGFILEs are to be submitted to him and he will post the full race results.
What will I see when the race is over?
The full race results from each race in the series will be available to all competitors and anyone who wants to see virtual racing in action. The lap by lap action can be viewed as up to 20 drivers thrash it out, wheel to virtual wheel.
SMI's
FullGrid
software program will be used to display the entire race. For info and a demo, click here.
