From The Little Engine That Could to Chief Engineer

I was ten years old when I bought my first train set, it was HO and the engine was  a industrial switcher (high tech) driven by a rubber band. The only place my parents would let me set it up was under my bed. I was twelve when my family moved to a larger house, shortly after that I started my second layout. At age sixteen I got interested in amateur radio, and I sold my layout to buy some radios.

I was married about four years when I started my third layout, this time I used TRUE SCALE TRACK, did some hand laying of track, and scratched built my first building. I never did finish this layout, my family grew and the house got to small so we moved again. My next layout was a switching layout that I got the plans from MODEL RAILROADER. I modified the size to a two foot by eight foot, all the switches were manual remote control, I had springs, pulleys, and mechanical wires everywhere. This layout was my best effort to date and a lot of fun to operate. I made this layout for a railroad show that I was in, I had no intention of selling it, but someone mad me a offer I could not refuse.  I made two HO layouts with my son, one was a school science fair project with a computer plc for control (my son only got a B on the project, the judges seemed to be more interested in farming or anatomy exhibits.) I lost interest in model railroading when I got addicted to computer games. Two years ago while cleaning the cellar I made some room and started MY FIRST N SCALE LAYOUT. If you click on the buttons to the left, you can take a cyber ride on the CLARK LINES, you might experience some delays due to construction and internet speeds.
