Apple Butter
Ingredients:

12 Ounces Frozen Apple Juice Concentrate 1/2 Cup Sweet Red Wine Or Apple Cider 4 Pounds Cooking Apples, Peeled, Cored, And Cut Into Quarters 3/4 Cup Packed Brown Sugar 1 Cup Apple Brandy Or Apple Cider 1 Tsp Cinnamon Tsp Ginger 1/2 Tsp Ground Cloves |
Directions:
Heat
apple juice concentrate, wine an apples to boiling in Dutch oven; reduce heat.
Simmer uncovered about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until apples are very
soft.
Mash apples with potato masher, if necessary
to remove all lumps. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling; reduce
heat. Simmer uncovered about 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until no liquid
separates from pulp. Immediately pour mixture into 5 half-pint hot, sterilized jars.
Wipe rims of jars and seal. Cool n rack 1 hour. Store in refrigerator for up to
2 months.
Package in a half pint jar and top with
fabric or craft paper and ribbon. Time a wooden ornament or spreader around rim
of jar for gift giving.
