Simple Butter Cream Frosting

 

Ingredients:

Butter, Softened

Confectioners Sugar

Light Cream

Vanilla

Directions:

In a medium bowl, beat the butter until fluffy with an electric mixer. Gradually add in the sugar alternately with the cream, until the sugar is absorbed. Beat in the vanilla. The butter cream should be of spreading consistency, if too thin add more confectioners sugar, if too thick add more cream.

**To flavor the icing: replace the vanilla with other extracts, coco powder, praline powder, liqueurs, strong black coffee, or fruit juices, add these by the teaspoonfuls until desired flavoring is achieved.

For chocolate flavored melt 2 ounces of unsweetened chocolate in a microwave and allow to cool slightly, fold into the prepared butter cream.

To color the butter cream: add food coloring a drop at a time until desired color is achieved.
