BELOW ARE SOME ITEMS THAT MAY HELP IF YOU ARE MAKING YOUR OWN AWNING ___________________________________________________________________ Some people are making their own awning from various sources and using different cords - rope to make the beaded welt that goes through the C channel on the camper to secure the awning. These clever holders - found by Coop - offer a simple way to secure
tarps and other sheeting materials. Fastened anywhere on the material,
the holders interlock to prevent slippage, wedging tightly as pressure
is applied and preventing ripping by spreading the load over a wide
area. They accept more than one layer of material, so you can join
tarps or gather corners together. They come in 3 sizes, for more

I received this from Larry, a vintage camper owner who wrote the below to me. "We own a Vintage 1959 trailer and just purchased a custom made awning for it. The lady who makes them will e-mail you pictures of the materials she has in stock, based on your color choices. The style is very vintage and the workmanship is great. He name is Marti Domyancic, Her e-mail address is domy@sbcglobal.net. Her phone number is 530-891-5120. She is in Chico, California, but will ship anywhere. She also includes a really nice storage bag made out of the same material as the awning. She has awning poles for sale, too. We ordered an 10x8 with an 8' scalloped edge and it was $154.99, plus tax and $18.00 for shipping. After checking around, we thought her prices were very reasonable." Last
