Battle with the Mirror I walk past a mirror But close my eyes. I am afraid to look I squeeze my eyes shut, Trying to win, Win the on-going battle with myself. I slowly open my eyes, Hesitant and afraid, To see what I've become. I don't look at my reflection, But I stare blankly at my soul. Tears stream down my cheek. I have become the person I despised, The one I said I'd never be. How could I let this happen? I am a disappointment to myself. I truly am my own worst enemy, For I am the only one, That has to live with me. I try to look away, Away from this horrible image, But I can't. I know that something must change, Or I'll be forever on this hopeless path.
Untitled All alone in the midst of a crowd She's swallowed alive by the unknown faces. Goes home at night and cries out loud, Tears fill her voids and empty spaces. No one understands her hurt and pain, Or how much she wants to leave. Everyday of her life is a mental strain, There's less and less that she can achieve. Then one day she finds someone helpful, Who understands her pain and sorrow. And now everything is a little more hopeful, And she's looking forward to tomorrow.
Knowing A tear runs down her cheek as she is told of the previous event it kills her to hear how her friend satisfied the urge to imagine her best friend pressing the blade to her wrist, is too overwhelming to handle. she runs to her room to cry, thoughts flash through her mind. is it that i wasnt there for her? as she weeps on her bed, her head screams "she doesnt deserve that!" "why am i forced to handle it?" her friend doesnt realize what shes doing to both of them the more she runs the blade over her skin the more she runs the blade over their friendship she lies on the bed feeling sick to her stomach. knowing that she is helpless knowing her friend could cut too deep this time knowing it could all be over within a matter of seconds
