What If My Chance Is Lost
What if my chance is lost?
What if you do care?
And just have not said anything.
Can I handle losing you
With never knowing what we could have shared
What could have been
What we could have meant to each other
There are so many what ifs, and if onlys.
I need to make them,
Glad I did, and can you imagine if I did not.
But, I may never know if I had the chance
I could have answered with you.
With your name.
And maybe I should have.
At least you would have known
The last time, I cared for a friend,
Things changed,
He was different and so was I.
Things did not remain the way I wanted them to
He was tainted
The way we talked became something unusual
Not what we used to have
I hope I see you tomorrow,
So I can make amends with you.
Tell you what I really feel, and think and want
I pray I see you then
