A more perfect Mother, with far fewer flaws,
Well, certainly less than I.
She's so entitled-my precious girl,
I pray she's aware how I try,

To live up to all my treasure should have,
Providing her every need,
Fall short I do-it pains me so...
She deserves such a Mother, indeed.

"A more perfect Mother, I never could find,
I love you from here to the sky!"
Her four year old words bring warmth to my heart,
While unworthy-I revel- yet sigh.

For she's every Mother's dream realized,
A one in a million delight,
My blue-eyed miracle, angel divine,
Whom I'm blessed with kissing each night.

Dear Lord that another day might allow,
Yet one more chance to be,
That "perfect" Mother to my darling one,
Just like the one you've given me.
