Drummer 1973-1980
1996-Present

Peter Criss, born Peter Crisscoula December 20, 1947 in Brooklyn,NY, is the original, and once again, current drummer of KISS.Peter was the third member of the band after Gene and Paul answered an ad for a drummer "willing to do anything to make it".Peter was with the band from 1972 to 1980,replaced by Eric Carr after Gene and Paul let him go for substance abuse.Peter had a unsuccessful solo attempt, and wrote a book about his experiences in KISS that remains unreleased.Peter made a guest appearance on Ace's "Trouble Walking" CD which Ace later returned the favor on Peter's "Cat #1" CD.Peter joined Gene and Paul onstage at a Los Angeles KISS Konvention. This started the ball rolling for the MTV Unplugged session and the following "rejoining" of the band for the Alive-Worldwide reunion tour and the" Psycho Circus" CD.Peter's raspy singing style is,to me,the best singing in the group.
